Access for all? Digitalized urban space between permeability and surveillance
Saturday, 27th October 2007, 2.00–3.45 p.m.
Large Hall

This first panel discussion will reflect on the interaction of physical space and digital media or virtual reality and its potential contradictions. Where is public life located when public space becomes increasingly commercialized? Do ubiquitous digital media offer anything other than endless possibilities for shopping and entertainment; subversive tactics by marginalised groups, for example? What significance is to be ascribed to surveillance and monitoring? What can art and culture contribute to the debate on access to space and public life?
