picidae, net-work in progress, 2007
In picidae, the internet becomes both the object of research and the
means to investigate the borders of individual perception. The pici-servers generate images of websites which in turn become clickable. These images not only convey specific views, but moreover serve as digital encryption, hence enabling the infiltration of internet censorship. By permitting access to blocked internet sites, picidae presents the WWW as a heterogeneous formation and ones own access as a specific place therein.
