Opera Calling, project, 2007

For their project Opera Calling !Mediengruppe Bitnik together with Sven König used hidden bugs to tap into performances at Zurich’s Opera House in spring 2007 and relayed these via phone to randomly selected households throughout Zurich. In this work artistic freedom graphically clashes with copyright safeguards and exposes the dilemma in which artistic production presently finds itself.
