San Franciscan Sutekh aka Seth Horvitz has astoundingly ambivalent style. On the one hand he produces Minimal Techno for labels such as Cocoon or M_nus and, on the other, releases noise collages on labels like Force. Inc. His concerts always take experimentation to the max yet he persistently tries to keep his audience in a party mood. He collects sounds from manipulated computers, synthesisers and samplers and interweaves them in intricate patterns. Horvitz has been producing electronic music since 1992 and achieved international fame with his second album, Periods Make Sense (Force Inc / Mille Plateau).
