Jenny Marketou – Data Bodies under surveillance in time and space

Whether we know it or not cameras keep us constantly under surveillance. In a sense, the images they produce transform our physical selves into data bodies. What happens with these data bodies, how and by whom they are used is generally unknown to us. Jenny Marketou’s project, Red Eyed Sky Walkers for once puts the cameras in the hands of passers-by, who relay images to the Exhibition Space where visitors can visually analyse them. Marketou will talk about her work and her preoccupation with surveillance issues.
