Yves Netzhammer and Bernd Schurer present the video and sound installation, The Subjectivization of Repetition Project B, here recast as a single channel projection, which was shown in its original form in the Karlskirche church in Kassel as part of the documenta 12 supporting programme. Netzhammer’s imaginary digital worlds unfold with no regard either for nature’s structural plans, a story or ordinary common sense. Animals, people and things, liberated from their original context and beyond familiar forms, are transferred into a new world of images. In dialogue with Schurer’s sound composition a pulsating cosmos emerges, which challenges one’s personal perception of the world.
