Fri, 24.10.2008, 19.00 h
The lecture dives into the depths of work with and on ‘ffUR’, a research raft represented by Agnes Meyer-Brandis and dedicated to exploring mysteries of the underworld. Kristin Lucas. Performance-Lecture. ‘Versionship’: the Second First Birthday Is More Memorable Than the First First Birthday
Sat, 25.10.2008, 17.00 h
On 5th October 2007, when a Californian court permitted Kristin Sue Lucas to change her name to Kristin Sue Lucas, Kristin Sue Lucas became the most up-dated version of herself to date. Her reason for applying to do so was, as she wrote on the application form, to ‘refresh’ herself. In her lecture, Lucas will report on the strategies she employs in order to understand the implications, limitations and advantages of being the most up-todate possible version of oneself. To this end she also conversed with legal experts, philosophers, media theorists, cognition theorists, geneticists, twins, double agents, the re-born, the self-confessed reincarnates, and many more people besides.
