The 10th International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality aka ISMAR (which takes place this year in Basel) is present at the 2011 edition of Shift with an exhibition especially curated by V2_Rotterdam, whose goal is to build bridges between the arts and sciences. ISMAR is the world’s leading event in this field, and annually brings together relevant players under the aegis of IEEE, the world’s largest professional association for the advancement of technology. The Symposium takes place from 26–29. October 2011 at the Congress Centre in Basel. The Institute for Research in Art and Design (IDK) at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) is a primary organizer of ISMAR 11.
